I started getting interested in magazine design when I began working on this project. That led me to a bunch of really cool companies doing exceptional design in the publishing industry.
One of those, Pentagram were given the job of redesigning The Atlantic, a popular U.S. magazine. In fine form, they wrote up an extensive overview of what they got up to.

Japanese papergoods concern, Muji, have a new take on dayplanner design. The standard linear approach has been replaced by nothing more than a simple clock and a lot of blank space. Bravo.

I walked over to Greenwich Village today to eat lunch and check out Banksy’s “Village Pet Store and Charcoal Grill“.
Lunch was good, the installation was better. Outside the store front was a FOX FIVE NEWS crew and perhaps unsurprisingly, a bunch of families with little children running around.
